Foodie’s Markets are a small, family-owned and operated grocery chain located in Boston’s South End and South Boston neighborhoods.

Foodie’s Markets first opened in the South End in 1998 when Victor Leon, Sr. recognized the need for the changing South End community to have a grocery store of it’s own within easy walking distance. Foodie’s has grown and changed with the community over the years.

The Leon family has family roots in the South End and in the grocery business and Foodie’s Markets are now run by son, Victor Leon.

The South Boston store opened on West Broadway in 2013 and quickly became a valued part of the neighborhood.

We carry a selection of groceries for everyday staples and hard-to-find local, organic and specialty gourmet foods, along with beer and wine, fresh produce, fresh meats, a specialty cheese section and a full prepared foods section.

Our loyal customers and employees are what make Foodie’s a unique, local community market. Many of the people that work at Foodie’s have worked closely together for decades and there is a strong feeling of family, with mutual caring, respect and interest in customer service and the welfare of the business and local community.
